Glowing | Evie Curley, Greensboro Maternity Photographer

I had the distinct pleasure today of capturing a mom-to-be in all her glory along with some photos of a soon-to-be big brother.  Here are the pics from today’s session.  I loved so many of them that I had to share them all here in a slideshow!!!

Enjoy!

If you don’t have time for the slideshow, I’m including some of my faves from the session as well. Isn’t she beautiful? Have I ever mentioned before how much I love what I do? Sessions like this one reaffirm my passion!

A personal update | Evie Curley, Greensboro NC Children’s Photographer

As mentioned in my bio above, I homeschool my two boys and I just realized the other day that we have been doing it for three years!  I can’t believe how fast time has gone by and I’m so glad that I have been able to spend so much time with them, watching them reach milestones, watching them make connections.  It has been a wonderful three years.  My youngest is ready now to start getting a bit more involved with “school” at our house and today we began a new routine.  Each year, we try new things in order to keep learning fresh and we try not to use a curriculum.  There is just so much information out there for kids and we really work with the things they are into at the time.  This year though, we’re trying something a little different so we’ll see how it goes.  I’m calling upon old fashioned methods and materials because they seem so rich in content and focus.  Both boys will be reading from McGuffey’s Readers and at night, we’re going to read classics like, Swiss Family Robinson and Treasure Island.  I am a huge reader and it’s important to me that the boys are exposed to really good literature in addition to the things they read about Spider-Man and Sonic the Hedgehog.  Anyway, here is a photo I took of my boys this weekend.  They’re getting so big and I know, three years from now, I will look back in amazement that they were ever this young.

Hope all is well in your world!

Evie, they are so cute! I think that it is so great that you are homeschooling them – I will be calling you soon because that is also the route that we are going. We have a couple of years, but I am all about being prepared. I love that you are reading such classics together – so cool. Thanks for sharing a part of your life with us. :)

Vicki - - 1:12 pm

Evie, they’ve grown so much just in the year or so that I’ve “known” you — the images you’d post in the PhauntU classroom! Wishing you all a great new school year!!

It still makes me very happy to see my “kids” with their noses in a book. And classics!! Katie’s currently reading “Rebecca” and some Agatha Christie mysteries! Love it.

Petra - - 4:09 pm

congrats on homeschooling them! Beautiful little men and lucky mama to spend so much time with them!
