You know, when I was a senior back in 1989, I didn’t look anything like the senior girls today. And yes, I know that is on the verge of making me sound like some crotchety old lady who put down the knitting needles to wax poetic about the old days but, just bear with me. Back in the 80′s we all had big hair, even bigger shoulder pads, acid washed jeans, and Forenza and Outback Red were the big brands being sold at The Limited. They were the best of times, they were the worst of times. LOL Recently, I was contacted by a very sweet girl named, Jessie to do her senior photos. She wanted something different than the photos provided by the school, something in an urban setting and something set in the countryside as well. It was a wish I was only happy to oblige! After speaking with Jessie and her mom, I encouraged them to bring several outfits so we could have lots of different looks for her photos and they did not disappoint! The day of our shoot, Jessie and her mom brought in several beautiful things for her to wear which made the session even more fun! I love the fact that she was able to bring in so many things that represented different parts of her personality but were all incredibly fashionable. So much different than the henley’s and tight rolled pants that we wore when I was in high school. But I digress. Jessie is a stunningly beautiful girl and I feel so blessed to have been able to capture these images of her when she is on the precipice of womanhood. It’s an amazing time in life and I’m glad they chose me to capture it for them. So without further adieu, here is Jessie!!
