Earlier this week, I alluded to the fact that I would be holding multiple mini sessions this Fall. Well get out your calendars and mark down these dates because these mini sessions are going to ROCK YOUR SOCKS OFF!!

For whatever reason, whenever the new year rolls around I get to thinking about photographing newborns. It is cliche I suppose but, it must somehow be tied in to the year being a fresh start, just like a new life is a fresh start. Anyway, before I wax poetic in this post….I have already been fortunate enough to meet one new little man and it inspired me to come up with something to offer other expectant families! From now until the end of February 2011, I am offering newborn sessions at half price. Regularly $200, you will save a significant amount!! Your session does NOT have to take place in February, for instance, if your baby is due in July, you can still take advantage of this by purchasing the session now. Happy New Year to you all! Did you have a big celebration or did you ring in the new year while you were sleeping? We spent New Year’s at with my sister and her husband and my niece and had a wonderful time. We played board games with the kids for a while and then we watched the movie, “The Hangover” until it was time for Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest to come on. A side note here, I loved the movie. Perhaps I’m giving away too much about how twisted my sense of humor is but, honestly, I laughed until I couldn’t breathe. I’m a big fan of Old School, Wedding Crashers, and Anchorman, too though. Anyway, we had a great time and stayed up way too late. The next day, I woke up with the WORST crick in my neck and it’s still there. Not as bad as it was but I haven’t wanted to be on the computer too much!! Hopefully it will go away this week. On January 1st, we had the traditional ham, black-eyed peas, and collard greens in the hopes that it will bring us good fortune, good luck, and good health this year. I’m not a big fan of black-eyed peas or collards but will eat them once a year!!

I’m kind of sad that the holidays are winding down. It has been really nice having my husband around so much and the boys have certainly enjoyed seeing him as much as they have. Tomorrow is going to feel like a big shock when I look over at Sean’s chair during the day and he’s not sitting in it! It can’t last forever though and gives us something to look forward to next year. :)

Even though the last couple of weeks were a “vacation” for me, I did spend some time working. I know, that’s naughty, but I wanted to put the final touches on my new plan for 2010 and I am SO EXCITED to finally be able to tell you all about it!! 2009 was a great year for me. I met a lot of awesome families and I learned more than I can possibly express. It was my journey through 2009 that brought me to where I am today with my new plan. For 2010, I’m going digital. Yep. You read that right, my main focus is giving you all the usable digital files from our session. All of my main Collections include every edited image from your session with me. At the very least it will be 20 images but likely there will be many more than that. This is something that many professional photographers are loathe to part with, and understandably so. It can be scary thinking that someone out there has the files and might edit them on their own and THEN claim that the professional photographer did it. However, I know that the people who come to me, do so because they like the work they have seen me do on my site and just want the digital files so they may order as many prints as they want for themselves and their families without spending a fortune doing so.

Also included in my collections this year are Fine Art Edits. These are prints that I have paid special attention to and will look like a work of art that you will want to hang on your wall. In the next few days, I will have a special Fine Art Gallery added to the Gallery Links at the top of the page so you can see what I’m talking about.

I am incredibly excited to offer my clients every usable image from their session. It has been hard for me to go through and judge whether a client will like one expression better than another and I’m so happy to have found a way to offer all the files to you.

Holiday Special 2009! | Evie Curley, Greensboro, NC Photographer

First of all let me say, I love my job. It allows me the freedom to work around my schedule as a homeschooling mom, I get to meet some pretty amazing families, and I get to do what I love which is shoot pictures. That said, I get so sad when people see their images and want them all but cannot afford to get them all. I am offering something special for the last part of the year and I believe you will think it’s special, too. When you choose to have a session with me, you’re going to get all the images. Yep, I said it. All of the images. Well, let me clarify that. You’re not going to get the ones that are out-of-focus, the ones where people’s eyes are closed, etc. But you will get the rest. Here is the low-down.

For the Holiday Special, I am not charging a session fee however I am requiring $150 as a deposit to hold your date. This fee is non-refundable but it is credited towards whichever session you choose. You will have two choices for a session with me, either a Mini Session or a Full Session. The Mini is approximately 30 minutes long and is ONLY for up to 4 members of one family. If you have more than 4 in your family you must choose the Full Session. We will hold it at one location and you may have one clothing change if you like. The Full Session is 1hour to 1.5 hours and is for up to 6 members of one family. After six, please add $15/per person. ***Also, please be aware that the City of Greensboro is now charging $50 for shoots being held at Bicentennial Park, the Arboretum, the Bog Garden, or Bur-Mil Park on the weekends so, if you choose to have your shoot at one of those locations, please add $50 to the deposit. Shoots at these locations during the week (monday-thursday) do not have the additional fee, so just keep that in mind when considering locations that interest you.

All of the images will be edited in order to ensure the best quality image for you, and then will be saved to a DVD for you to print in whatever sizes and numbers and formats you choose. If you wish to buy prints from me that have more artistic edits or are on fine art paper such as metallic or linen you may do so. My a la carte prices for specially edited and upgraded images begin at $30 for Gift Prints sized 8×12 and smaller. You will receive a complete price list once you reserve a session.
