Oh yeah! It is Springtime all right! I have been photographing mommies-to-be and babies like crazy so it is definitely that time of year! This couple is one that is very near and dear to my heart. He used to live across the street from us and would walk over to our house for coffee on weekend mornings. :) Ahh, those were the good old days. And she is a sweet and lovely person who I am honored to call my friend. To be there to photograph this time in their life is such an incredible experience and I cannot wait to meet their little girl. She will be here any day now and we’re going to capture some amazing images of her as well. Pregnancy is such a beautiful time not only in a woman’s life, but in the life of the couple, too. I know from my own experience it was incredibly liberating and I felt more at ease with myself than ever before or since. And it was so wonderful to watch my husband’s awed expressions as he rested his hands on my belly. I saw these same things in this couple and felt privileged to capture those moments for them. Here are a few for you to enjoy!

In life there are a few events that occur which we meet with great anticipation. We look forward to getting our drivers licenses, high school graduation, perhaps college graduation. Then we get jobs, apartments, boyfriends. Some hope to get and do get engaged and spend a year (more or less!!) planning and dreaming about our weddings. We get married and anticipate the day when we buy a home and then, if we’re really lucky, we get to add children to that happy, dreamy, picture in our minds. Obviously, this is not everyone’s dream but for many it is and it is always an honor for me to be able to document some of these milestones for people. It makes it even more special when the person I’m photographing is someone I have known since I was a child. To continue to share in their life and their dreams is a beautiful experience!! To see the glow of pregnancy surround my friend and highlight her gorgeous soul is something I just feel blessed to be a part of. And I want to share that with you, too. :)

Can you believe 2010 is drawing to a close? Remember when we were children and the days seem to pass like years? Now they seem to pass like seconds!! I hope that 2010 was as wonderful a year for you and your family as it was for me. This year, my business grew by leaps and bounds and I was blessed to meet so many new friends and clients! Thank you very much for bringing me into your lives this year and I hope that next year will bring us together again.
