Sharing my family with you | Evie Curley, Greensboro, NC Children and Family Photographer

Back in October, my family and my sister’s family traveled up the road a bit to our lovely NC mountains and did some apple picking. I must confess, the apple picking place was not what I thought it would be. I had visions of a glorious orchard, branches swollen with apples just waiting for us to come by and save them. I was just a teensy bit disillusioned by the fact that the orchard was really on a patch of grass behind something that looked like a gas station. Not quite the photo op I had in mind but, no matter. There were apples galore and we gathered up as many as our baskets and our wagon would carry. I also snapped a couple of shots that I’d like to share with you. You will notice that I have been getting artsy again. It’s a lot of fun and I plan to incorporate this into my business next year!! Without further adieu, here is my youngest holding an apple that was HUGE, GINORMOUS!

And then my oldest, not to be outdone by his younger brother scoured the ground until he found one as big as a planet, too.

There is something to be said for taking your children to a place where they can see that food actually comes from nature. It was nice to see them get excited about seeing apples actually growing on trees. Eventually, we made our way down the road a bit more and came across a bit more picturesque apple orchard but, by that time it was raining and I couldn’t get my camera out. For Christmas this year, we’re planning to drive back up to the mountains and cut down our own tree. Hopefully, I will have some photos to share of that as well!

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!

Don’t you love being creative? These are just beautiful. :) Have you seen the new (or new to me) metal prints? These would look so cool on printed on metal. I just did some vintage dog photos with some fun textures and printed them that way. They look really cool. :)
