For days and days it seems we have gotten so much rain. I don’t mean to sound like a complainer because certainly after last year’s drought we need it! It is just hard to get up and face day after day of gray skies and when the sun finally comes out, we celebrate! How, you might ask? By taking photographs of course!
I have been wanting to do updated portraits of the boys this year and once the sun made it’s presence known this weekend, we got out and took a few shots.
That’s my oldest. He’s turning 10 this year and I really can’t believe it. If I allow myself to concentrate on it, I will get freaked out so lets move on.
Here is my youngest and yesterday we celebrated his 7th birthday with our family. It was quite the party! Anyway, this is his updated picture:
Then I got one of the two of them together. This was BY FAR the hardest shot to get because neither one of them can be serious at the same time!! This was as good as it got!
I love these boys with all my heart and could never have imagined that they would bring as much joy to my life as they do. We have our challenging days for certain but even in the throes of those moments, my love never falters. I find myself admiring their spunk. ;)

BEAUTIFUL boys and I love the sun in the back like that. Just gorgeous. I know what you mean about freaking….I realized yesterday that my oldest (11) was starting to act like a preteen and I had the impulse to giggle hesterically because I realized that it wasn’t going to be long and I was going to be put in an early grave.
