So, this past weekend was pretty busy around here. My husband took Thusday off and had Friday off, too and we took advantage of that and got some things done! For a while now, he has been promising the boys that he would build them a treehouse. Between his work and school schedule he hasn’t had much time for it but this weekend, he got A LOT done! The tree looked like this for about 3 weeks:
Then, by the end of the weekend, it looked like this:
It is going to be HUGE when all is said and done! He is going to build a house-like structure on one side and leave the other side open as a deck. My husband is a very hard-worker and once he sets his mind to something, it gets done! Of course, he was incredibly sore this morning as he got up to go to work. :)
On Sunday, we celebrated Easter with my family and had a lot of fun! My parents had put some money in plastic eggs and then we hid them outside for the kids to find. Our dog found a couple though and ate the equivalent of about $0.75.
You can see that look of crazy in her eyes! She’s very sweet but will get into things if we don’t watch her.
For the most part, my boys were fairly underwhelmed by the goodies in their Easter baskets. The one thing that was a big hit was this:
I got it at Target and thought it was so cute!!! It’s a white chocolate duck. Well, yellow chocolate?? Anyway, the boys really enjoyed them the most and I’ve been picking at the things they deemed not good enough to eat. Maybe next year I will include somethings I know I’ll like. LOL
This coming weekend, I have big plans and will have tons of pictures to share next week!!! Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

What an awesome treehouse and its not even done yet, can I move in with you guys? I know my boys would love that so I can imagine how many hours your boys will spend in there and the wonderful memories they will create.
Oh great, my oldest was standing here and saw the pics of the tree house, now he wants one too! What a talented husband you have. Love the quax too! Was it yummy?

We want to build our kids a treehouse like that soooo bad, but don’t have any suitable trees in our yard to use. That thing is gonna be awesome. Your kids are going to have so much fun in that.
